Aasawari Kulkarni created the fluid and expressive typeface 'Nari Variable'.

This book is an homage to Kulkarni and her typeface that "represents choice, expression, and inclusivity."
The layout design reflects the fluidity and flexibility of the Nari Variable typeface. It is sometimes delicate, basking in wide swaths of color, and sometimes bold, and brave, taking up space, demanding to be seen.
Process
The color palette is inspired by the rich colors found in marigolds, a prominent flower in Hindu culture.
The Minion type family is simple but refined to allow the Nari Variable to shine.
